The Catholic Church dedicates May as the Marian Month, while the month of October is dedicated to the Rosary. The feast of the Holy Rosary was established by Pope Pius V on the anniversary of the naval victory won by the Catholic fleet over the Turks at Lepanto on 7 October, 1571.
The victory was attributed to the direct intervention of the Blessed Mother, through the prayers of the Holy Rosary. The Church has since dedicated the entire month of October to the Holy Rosary so that individuals, families, and communities would pray the Holy Rosary.
The Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni will observe the devotion to the Rosary during the month of Holy Rosary as follows:
- 30 Sep: Opening Ceremony followed by Procession – 17:15 WIB and Holy Mass at 18:00
- 2 Oct – 30 Oct (Mon – Sat): Rosary Devotion – 17:30 WIB and Holy Mass – 18:00 WIB
- 31 Oct (Tuesday): Closing Ceremony followed by Procession – 17:15 WIB and Holy Mass at 18.00
Note: There will be no Rosary Devotion or Mass on Sundays.
We invite everyone to join and pray together with us during the Month of Holy Rosary. May The Blessed Virgin Mary Bless All of Us.
