It is with sadness we announce that due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns our annual feast of Graha Maria Annai velangkanni on 8 September 2020 will not be open to the public. The organizing committee of the feast celebration made this difficult decision to cancel as we have witnessed a continuing increase in the Coronavirus cases causing governmental and health officials to take additional restrictive actions for public health and safety.
Our annual feast celebration attracts large crowd of the young and old from various parts of Indonesia and neighboring countries to pay homage to Mother Mary Annai Velangkanni, Mother of Jesus. As there are too many mitigating circumstances and challenges, we recognize the importance of closing the event to the public as the safety and well-being of the pilgrims are our top priority.
We pray that Mary Annai Velangkanni, Our Lady of Good Health, will heal the tragedy of the worldwide coronavirus pandemic and provide solace to the peeple in this difficult time.
The re-opening of our shrine will be painfully slow, and we look forward to hosting the 2021 annual feast with all of you without any hindrance. Thank you and be safe and healthy.
